5-Points Brewery

The land currently occupied by 5-Points Brewery has been identified as a development site in the Local London Plan 2033 (LP33) created by Hackney Council. Three options for development are outlined in the published plan (page 210 of this PDF)

Hackney Council purchased this land in 2019. The first (and so far only) consultation meeting happened in July 2023.

As with Ash Grove Bus Station, the multiple unapproved options for development are being used by other developers to justify abnormally high buildings in a predominently low-height neighbourhood.

The housing density of the proposed options is also concerning.

Local residents and businesses want a joined-up consultation considering all three potential developments and their combined impact on our neighbourhood.

We want to co-design something that will work for everyone with good housing, sustainable green spaces and low-cost workspaces and commercial units.
